So, moving on, I've already indulged in breakfast that was more like a lunch because I was up so early and didn't want a breakfast type meal..instead, I had leftovers of our taco salad from last night. Couldn't be any worse for me than some of my breakfast meals..hahaha..just weird, I know. I am contemplating what about dinner, since Lent starts tomorrow and I don't have to fast because I am over 60, however, I want to do that with the others. If I am healthy, which I think I am, then there is no reason not to fast..the good Lord knows this body could use a fast or two or three or more! So, I'll think about if I'll cook or we'll go out after Mass. Mass is for my friend, Marlene, who passed not long ago and also since I can't be "with" Shane "physically" I can give him the gift of praying more for him at Holy Mass...that's what a good momma does, right? :) I sure miss hugging him...its just really emotional for me this day. Naturally...
I think for Lent, I am going to do a lot reading and there was a suggestion to read the Gospels better, which I will and I have some other good Catholic materials I am in the midst of already. I also will be reading all about our Deacon Mike's trip to the Holy Land (he will be a priest very soon!) with many other Seminarians here...he has a detailed diary with nice photos on his blog...I can't wait to indulge. Deacon Mike is also a wonderful homilist..he prepared and gave the homily for the wedding my daughter was in, also, the other night and boy, what an amazing one it was..it is on his blog too! I will also be bagging up..going to work for 3 bags or more a week for things to take to some ministry in town. I feel I have been hoarding..even though I'm not trying to..just like lazy not to get things there. We will be participating in the Spring 40 Days for Life, which they are connecting to Lent, which is a good idea, I think. I teach Rel, Ed this Saturday morning for a few hours, oh and Friday, I'll be helping elderly roll down to Mass in the nursing home in their wheelchairs. Right now my friend BJ is there in the same nursing home for some rehab. I hope she is there Friday so we can attend Mass together. Bye for now... eat something yummy!
